Autumn Colours

I love the colours of Autumn, but wow I cannot believe we are here already. This year has gone so fast it is incredibly scary. I feel like I came back from traveling with my wonderful boyfriend last October 2010, having had the time of my life…I blinked….and here I am. The leaves have already fallen and its 2012, my boyfriend has moved to Mexico for a year, and I have another 3 month trip planned in December. AH, what on earth happened to the time!?

So what have I been doing this past year?

Well, I found the best horse in the world to look after. I spend as much time with him that is possible. I have grown so much with him, and he has been so patient with me, helping me build my confidence. When I ride I feel free and totally untouchable. Galloping through the forest with you horse is the most incredible feeling, running through the water on a hot day, getting caught in a storm, or just a simple walk out on a crisp morning. I love my bru bear.

I Have had all kinds of exciting shoots with new clients and old clients. Portraits, Fashion Shoots, Weddings, Interiors, Equine. Keep them coming people. I am enjoying the challenges.

My teeth are being straightened. Something I am very proud to say that I can finally do and something I have wanted all my life. If you don’t like something about yourself, change it!

I have taken on a new job as a school photographer with a great company called Pret-a-Portrait. This is keeping me extremely busy for the next 3 months until my Christmas deal will be kicking in, so if you would like a shoot soon then I suggest you book in ASAP. As I now do not have a day off until the end of the month. AH!

I have had some great times with friends and family this year and equally some incredibly sad times. As a lot of you know I walked the 5K race with my best friends this year for my boyfriends mum, who very sadly passed away on April 5th early this year. Together I believe we raised £3000 for cancer research. Anna is greatly missed and always will be but I believe she is still with us and looking after my Joely in Mexico City.

I’m not really sure where this post came from but the days, months, years go faster and faster ever year. I really hope that everyone is making the most of life and doing everything they want to do. I have amazing friends and amazing family and I am going to continue to enjoy life, however much of a rollarcoster ride it is.

Preparing!!!

After an extremely busy few weeks, this week has been a lot calmer. I have been catching up on all my paper work and replying to emails. Also the weather has been pretty beautiful up until today so I have managed to do some great horse riding in the sunshine.

We finished the Anna Scholz product shoot last Friday. It went really well and everyone there was very lovely. I hope to work with the team again.  Here is another sneaky shot….

Paintings and Sunshine…

Today has been such a gorgeous day! The sun has been shining which always makes me happy, that was a good start. This morning I headed down to the stables early to ride my beautiful horse Brutas before the day got too hot for him. Unfortunately the horrible bugs and flies by the stream cut our ride a little short as they were biting both Brutas, and me. It was still a lovely ride though, as always is with Brutas!

I then came home to finish off some work that I have been doing for a local artist. Her name is Georgina Lee, and her work is fantastic. She has done some gorgeous paintings, and has a real artistic flare. She is currently taking commission work so drop her an email if your interested. She even does textured work that comes out of the paintings….gorgeous!!! Here is some of her work below…

The most exciting thing of today however is that I have my flights booked for Florida in December for just over 2 months. I am hoping to be spending one of those months in Mexico, and the rest in the states. Whilst I am there, I will be working on a sunset project in Naples Florida and goodness knows what else. I am hoping I will have lots of exciting new work to show you all!

Neeksie Photo Shoot

So Today I was  doing a photo shoot for one of my closest, most lovely friends. She has recently started the most fantastic, luxury, handmade underwear company. She is an amazing designer and I love love her products.  Please check her website out http://www.neeksie.com/

We were a little worried with the thundery storms this morning but we decided to carry on with the shoot anyway, despite the mud and rain. Laura Quinsey did a fantastic job on hair and Elle Busy was a great model!

Well, here is a sneak peak….

Race for Life for Anna Wotton

Today was a very special day for me and thousands of other people who raced for life in hope of a cure for Cancer one day. Very sadly, I lost someone very close to me this year, so myself and 3 of my best friends raised almost £2000 for cancer research! We walked 5K joined together with 5 legs. Something we weren’t sure would quite work, but sure enough we managed the whole course and passed the finish line still attached, supporting each other the whole way.

Our family and friends came to support us, and cheer us on and take lots of lovely photos! I have had a really memorable day, been able to share it with some amazing people and will definitely be doing it again next year!

A massive thank you to everyone who sponsored us, and donated. We are so so grateful!

Sunday evening and I have had a lovely week, but feeling exhausted and ready for a quiet Sunday night in with a cup of hot chocolate!

It was my oldest nephew Ben’s first holy communion today. I was so proud of him, he has worked so hard studying his religion and preparing for today. He looked so gorgeous in his little cream linen suit and said a short prayer, beautifully in front of the whole church. I could see the excitement on his face when it all started, and despite not being a churchgoer, I enjoyed the service very much. I am indeed a very proud Auntie.

The rest of the week was lovely, I went on a few great hacks with friends. Got caught in a very heavy storm on one of them but it was still lots of fun. I have found an incredibly inspiring book called “horse boy”, recommended to me by a very good friend Deborah Richmond. Perfect book for me, a mixture of traveling, horses, and healing. I am loving it, and can’t seem to put it down at the moment. I am sure more random babbling about it will happen more of here!

I am trying to bulk my equine portfolio at the moment, and am therefore offering photo shoots for you and your horse for only £30!

Please tell anyone who you think might be interested!

Here comes the sun…

I cannot beleive we are already in June and summer is here. This year has gone by so quickly, I feel it will be Christimas before I know it. I have been spending a lot of time in Chobham with the horse I share called Brutas. He is lovely and I always enjoy being down there when its hot, amongst the fields and pretty flowers and away from the traffic and smelly polution. I am definitely not a city girl.

I am currently building up my equine portfolio and therefore am offering great shoots at reduced costs so please contact me if you are interested in a photo shoot for you and your horse. I have a few slots left over the next few weeks and would like to make the most of the gorgeous weather and be out shooting in it.
