Sunday evening and I have had a lovely week, but feeling exhausted and ready for a quiet Sunday night in with a cup of hot chocolate!

It was my oldest nephew Ben’s first holy communion today. I was so proud of him, he has worked so hard studying his religion and preparing for today. He looked so gorgeous in his little cream linen suit and said a short prayer, beautifully in front of the whole church. I could see the excitement on his face when it all started, and despite not being a churchgoer, I enjoyed the service very much. I am indeed a very proud Auntie.

The rest of the week was lovely, I went on a few great hacks with friends. Got caught in a very heavy storm on one of them but it was still lots of fun. I have found an incredibly inspiring book called “horse boy”, recommended to me by a very good friend Deborah Richmond. Perfect book for me, a mixture of traveling, horses, and healing. I am loving it, and can’t seem to put it down at the moment. I am sure more random babbling about it will happen more of here!

I cannot beleive we are already in June and summer is here. This year has gone by so quickly, I feel it will be Christimas before I know it. I have been spending a lot of time in Chobham with the horse I share called Brutas. He is lovely and I always enjoy being down there when its hot, amongst the fields and pretty flowers and away from the traffic and smelly polution. I am definitely not a city girl.

I am currently building up my equine portfolio and therefore am offering great shoots at reduced costs so please contact me if you are interested in a photo shoot for you and your horse. I have a few slots left over the next few weeks and would like to make the most of the gorgeous weather and be out shooting in it.

This is a very busy week for me. I am working away in the studio retouching several different shoots that I have recently done, trying to get them ready for my deadlines. One being a lovely couple called Simon and Carolyn. They got engaged at the end of last year and are very busy planning their wedding. Their photo shoot was too cute! We had gorgeous weather and they are clearly very much in love. This shows in all of their photos and I am smiling away as I am working on them. I am going through them all now, trying to cut them down to the best ones. It is proving to be incredibly diffucult as all the images are so lovely. I just want to edit them all!

So far Monday morning is pretty good!

Been for a ride this morning with a beautiful horse I share call Brutus. We went for a lovely stroll up to a nearby field to have a trot in, unfortunately, when we got into the field, we got attacked by hundreds of horrible flies…yuck! So we quickly turned around and headed back. Thats OK though, as I was meeting Melissa, my fantastic make up artist who just popped round for a coffee to plan our next few shoots. Our next shoot is planned for this coming Monday… exciting stuff! I will put pictures up for you to see next week hopefully! Our shoots are great fun, we are always excited to mix our crazy ideas together, using our love for fantasy, fashion, and beautiful images. Its always interesting to see the end result, as its usually totally different from what we expected.

I was very thrilled this week to look through digital photographer magazine and see in the ‘up and coming’ section, a friend of mine from college, Sarah Brimley. She is a fantastic fashion photographer and are images are wicked. Definitely check her stuff out on her website…

Now I must dash and finish my retouching work so I can go and visit my parents in London for dinner this evening!

I am so pleased that I finally have a website up. I have been stressing over it for months as all this html stuff just totally baffles me. I have been so confused about where to start that it has taken me forever to get anything up and running. Finally I had a massive leg up from Nathalie Wermeille and BrandYoga. Today I have lots of retouching work to do, so I am sitting behind my desk working away, with a cup of coffee and my favourite  dog lying on the floor beside me having a snooze.
