Holy Moly it's been a weird few weeks hasn't it?
I think we are all on a total rollercoaster physically, emotionally and energetically with what is going on in the world. I am sending all my love to those who are having to move their wedding dates right now. BUT I just know your wedding WILL be so so amazing, whenever it is. Please hold on to that!
So today...I have some GORGEOUS photos to share with you from Hannah and Justin's insanely beautiful, chilled and HOT destination wedding on the beach in Tamarindo, Costa Rica back in January.
The day started with fresh fruit smoothies, massages and manicures. All this was going with with the sounds of howler monkeys in the trees and tropical birds singing...bliss or what?!
The wedding was held at a villa just off Tamarindo beach called Villa Concha on Playa Langosta. The location couldn't have been more perfect. The villa held around 17 of us with plenty of space. It had a pool, bar area, and a private walkway down to the beach which is where the ceremony was held (And where I snuck off for my morning coffee and yoga).
Our plan was to set up the ceremony space right down on the beach so the private walkway was the aisle. However, high tide was just before the ceremony and we were all a little worried that the whole ceremony could have ended up under water at just the wrong time. (Although I'm not sure I would have minded photographing whilst tip toe-ing through the waves. Hehe)
But...we got lucky!!! The crashing waves died down just in time, and Hannah and Justin got their totally perfect ceremony with the sea and sunset in the background. OMG...it was incredible! Hannah walked bare foot down the sandy aisle, to the cliff where Justin got a sneak peek of her, before walking to the sea front and joining him under their wedding arch.
Sounds of the waves, Sand between your toes and sunshine on your skin...sounds pretty perfect right?! It was just that!!!
Post ceremony we immediately darted down the beach to make the most of the sunset for Hannah and Justin's couple shots. We danced on the beach, swung in hammocks and even tip toed through the sea. Shout out to Hannah's amazing Bridesmaid and Sister in Law who, even though pregnant, ran down the beach to deliver cold bubbly for the newlyweds.
We shot all Hannah's group shots on the beach before heading back to the villa for lobster and bubbles around the pool. YUM!
The rest of the evening was one huge party which ended up in everyone in the pool in their clothes at around 2am. Gosh I wish I had made it that long!
Mindys Moments:
Most Memorable Moment:
A ceremony in THE most perfect location.
Something That Made Me Laugh:
20 minutes before the ceremony the groomsmen realised the speaker wouldn't reach the beach and the had to climb trees to cut wires down and somehow make an extra long cable so Hannah could have the song she always dreamed of playing whilst she walked down the aisle.
Most Stand Out Design Idea:
Hannah's INCREDIBLE dress for sure!
Over All Feeling From the Day:
Intimate! A wedding with close friends and family in a perfect place with good food and company
