My December review and what to expect in 2020 with Mindy Coe Photography

Updated: Feb 14, 2020

Well let's start off this first post of the year with a big HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2020 is set to be exciting and I can't wait to bring you on the journey with me!

One of my intentions for 2020 is to really let you in on my brand, to understand me, my brand, what I am about and what I stand for. So, let's start this post with a quick look back at what I got up to in December!

December was super busy with a mix of everything, from brand shoots, family shoots, a wedding, my birthday, hikes, festivities, all with a sprinkling of cinnamon and a dollop of festive cheer of course.

  1. I was super lucky to start the month off by doing a brand shoot in Windermere for Lesley Hoyle of Sofiology. She is a herbalist and I absolutely loved help bring her brand to life.

  2. I created my own Christmas card, by climbing up a mountain here in the Lake District dressed as Mrs Claus, along with a sleigh, our 2 dogs and The Grinch. It has had some brilliant responses and was such much fun to do!

  3. As December progressed it saw me head to Manchester for a wonderful family shoot with Emma, Hallie and Lee. It was a gorgeous frosty but sunny day!

  4. I ventured to the Christmas tree farm at Hilderstone Farm in Burton for a Christmas tree shoot and also celebrated my 31st birthday by visiting a vegan cafe, having a beautiful scenic walk and a spot of Christmas shopping.

  5. The second half of December, saw me back down in leafy Surrey for my Christmas mini's shoot, which was hosted at Melissa Oldridge's house. So many gorgeous little faces and a lot of festive cheer as the 25th grew nearer. I was then back on the road back to the Lakes again and started to get myself ready for Christmas. I created my own eco, foraged wreath, which I have t say I was pretty proud of for my first attempt!

  6. Just before Christmas arrived I had another branding shoot for a wonderful mountain guide, who's business is just coming together and I was super happy to be involved with.

  7. Then of course it was Christmas! Well I started mine with a cold water swim, as you do. It is quickly becoming one of my favourite activities, due to its immune boosting qualities and health and wellbeing benefits. We celebrated with family, mulled wine and a even more Christmas cheer.

  8. Finally December saw me over at Dodford Manor on 27th December, for my final wedding of 2019! And what a wedding it was to go out on! Charlotte and Joe were incredible.

So what does 2020 have in store for Mindy Coe Photography?

Well I have set myself 3 personal intentions for the year:

  1. Keep up my regular wild swimming- The cold water keeps my immune system posted and being surrounded by nothing but mountains is a welcome reminder to connect back to nature

  2. Meditate every day - Try it, you won't regret it!

  3. Start producing my first book........ shhh... it's a secret!

......and then there's the business.....

This is where it gets super exciting!

Mindy Coe Photography is growing. Over 2019 I have been creating a special picked team go photographers to work under the Mindy Coe umbrella. Picked for their style of photography, eye for capturing the moments you all want to cherish forever and that fit with the Mindy Coe brand. Not only that, but they are all beautiful souls and I am so lucky to have such an amazing team working with me.

But what does this mean?

Well is 2019 I was getting more and more enquiries for dates that were already booked. So by hand picking a team of amazing photographers, some of which I have trained myself, that I trust 110% I am able to cater to more brides and grooms wanting Mindy Coe Photography for there wedding. I still personally edit every single photo whether I shot the wedding or one of my wonderful team did.

I am super excited for this next step for my business and I hope you are too! You can check out my team team HERE and I'll be introducing them in a little more detail soon.

So 2020 is set to be pretty awesome. I am supper excited for this next adventure in my business, with my new team by my side and some exciting new projects on the horizon.

It's going to be a good year!
